FOLA 2018 DARK MOFO 2018 BLEACH* FESTIVAL 2019
Absurd swimming carnival meets desperate endurance act. Landing is a continuous relay in which the distance between Manus Island and Australia is collectively swum.
Swimmers don island shaped hats to participate in the event, like landforms moving up and down the lanes. Landing audiences are asked to make physical distance an embodied experience, whilst contemplating the murky waters of past and present immigration policy.
This journey will be hosted by a range of performers and speakers; They will guide you, cheer you on and hold you accountable to a range of lived experiences about home and borders and welcomes.
